Studio Workshops

Sip and Make!  That’s right!  Looking for a creative and fun activity to do in the Wairarapa. How about making Jewellery! This year we are proud to be part of the Greytown Festival of Christmas. This July, Greytown celebrates a month-long programme of spectacular lights, Night Markets, workshops, events, Matariki activities, parties, food and family fun.

Book a workshop and learn how to make beautiful Clay Earrings using a mixture of Clay, Cutters, Textures, Silkscreens & Foils.  Great for beginners through to Novices. Working with Clay is not only fun but so therapeutic.

I have a private light filled studio upstairs in the loft above the garage that overlooks greenery.  This is the perfect space to have some fun.  BYO drinks and snacks.  I’ll bring the music and create a fabulous fun atmosphere!

You can book as an individual and meet like minded Jewellery enthusiasts or get a private group together for a Hens Do’s, Girls Weekends, Birthdays or just an excuse to get your friends together and do something different.

We also run workshops for Team Building Activities & Corporate Social Club events etc.

We can host up to 8 people comfortably in a workshop.

Our Cost is $75 per person. By the end of the workshop, you will come away with on average 5 pairs of unique Earrings and your friends will be asking where you got them from!

Please note we use Polymer Clay in our workshops due to time restraints.  This is a non toxic Clay.  All Jewellery hardware is made from Surgical or Stainless Steel (Gold or Silver Plated) which is Hypoallergenic.

Book online today or send us a message to enquire.  If you are interested in a workshop outside of these days/times, or have larger numbers, please send me a message to discuss.

About me

Cooper's Loft was created in 2021 out of my love for beautiful accessories.  Each piece of Clay Jewellery is handcrafted with love.

I work with a couple of mediums.  I use an Eco Friendly Cold Porcelain Clay which I refer to as Eco Clay. It is non toxic, Earth Friendly, Sustainable and water resistant.  The Eco Clay is pretty durable and very light weight.  You will hardly notice you are wearing the pieces.

I also work with Polymer Clay which is non toxic. The primary use for this Clay is within our Jewellery Workshops due to time restraints but from time to time I use this Clay in my Collection line as it’s hard wearing and waterproof.

All of our Jewellery Hardware is made from Surgical Steel or Stainless Steel so it is hypoallergenic and perfect for those sensitive ears.  It also won’t tarnish easily like a lot of findings.  This means you can wear the jewellery comfortably all day long.

I hope you love our Jewellery as much as we do.

Kerry Cooper-Gallagher

One of the biggest factors behind starting my own business was that I wanted to be creative and hand-make beautiful accessories with the intention that they were sustainable.

I use an Eco Clay which is effectively a Cold Porcelain Clay.  This is a non toxic, biodegradable Clay.

As an Air Dry Clay, it is 100% Earth Friendly and Sustainable.  Each Clay piece is sealed with a non toxic sealant so they are water resistant.  The Clay I use is completely odourless and does not contain plastic therefore is kind to our Mother Earth.

We also use Polymer Clay primarily in our Jewellery Workshops due to time restraints.  This is a non toxic clay that is waterproof and hard wearing.  Both Clays have very similar textures and are pretty durable.  Hand crafted Jewellery in small batches is a great way to slow down the environmental impact that industrial factories produce.  We are making a conscious effort to reduce our environmental footprint!
